How 7 Wonders scoring works

7 Wonders is scored after the third age. Each player adds up the same categories and the highest total wins. Most rows are just the points printed on cards and tokens. Treasury and science are the two that need math, and the sheet does both.

Science scoring, with an example

There are three science symbols: compass, gear and tablet. Each type scores its count squared, so 1 symbol is 1 point, 2 are 4, 3 are 9 and 4 are 16. On top of that, every complete set of one compass, one gear and one tablet scores 7.

Take 3 compasses, 2 gears and 1 tablet. That's 9 plus 4 plus 1 for the symbols, plus 7 for the one full set, for 21 points.

Wild symbols, like the Scientists Guild or Babylon's wonder, count as whichever symbol scores you the most. The sheet tries every option and uses the best one, so you only enter how many wilds you have.

Treasury and debt

Every 3 coins in your treasury is worth 1 point, and anything left over scores nothing. With Cities, debt tokens are negative points. Enter your coins and the total of your debt tokens, and the sheet does the rest.

Breaking a tie

If players finish level, the one with the most coins wins. If they have the same coins too, they share the win. The sheet already knows everyone's coins from the treasury row, so it settles ties on its own.

Using this score sheet

Do I need to go through every step?

No. Skip to the score sheet whenever you like and type straight into the boxes. Tap any row name on the sheet to jump back into guided entry at that category.

What is the mistake offset for?

For the card someone forgot to count or the token that rolled under the table. Add or take away the difference there. It can be positive or negative.

Are my scores saved?

Yes, in your browser's storage on this device. Close the tab mid-game and your scores are still there. Nothing is sent to us.

Does it work for the first and second editions?

The scoring categories are the same in both, so yes. Turn on whichever expansions you're playing with.

How many players does it support?

Two to eight, which covers the base game and the larger counts some expansions allow.

Is there a sheet for 7 Wonders Duel?

Yes. Duel scores differently, so it has its own: the 7 Wonders Duel score sheet.
